Gram Sudhar Samiti (GSS) undertakes integrated initiatives in natural resource management and ecosystem restoration, focusing on restoring the balance between livelihoods and the environment. Through a community-led approach, GSS promotes sustainable use of land, water, and forest resources to ensure long-term ecological and economic resilience. Key interventions include watershed development, biodiversity conservation, and bio-resource utilization, aimed at improving water availability, soil health, and overall ecosystem productivity.

These centres convert cattle dung, urine, and non-milking livestock resources into valuable economic products, creating an additional income stream for rural households. This initiative has benefitted 1,500+ farmers, while also addressing critical issues like overgrazing and cattle abandonment
GSS also works closely with tribal and forest-dependent communities to promote sustainable management of Non-Timber Forest Produce (NTFP). The organisation supports communities in: Responsible harvesting practices Scientific storage and grading Access to fair and transparent market pricing These efforts have supported 2,000+ forest dwellers, enabling them to build sustainable, conservation-linked livelihoods while protecting forest ecosystems. By integrating environmental restoration with livelihood generation, GSS continues to foster climate-resilient communities and sustainable rural ecosystems.
