Founded in 1987, Gram Sudhar Samiti (GSS) is a grassroots organisation working across Madhya Pradesh to strengthen community-led development in rural and underserved regions. The organisation focuses on addressing challenges related to natural resource degradation, livelihoods, and social well-being through participatory and locally rooted approaches.
GSS works closely with village institutions to promote restoration of land and water resources, sustainable livelihoods, women's leadership, education, Natural Farming, and responsive local governance. The organisation is registered under the Societies Registration Act and holds 12A, 80G, and FCRA compliances.
We envision a society where equity and equality are ensured for all individuals, irrespective of their background or social status.
To create an inclusive society, free from discrimination, where every child has access to education, communities live with dignity, and indigenous cultures are protected through community-led and sustainable development.
